Once upon a time, I was a very bored girl. I was sitting at home, not doing anything, when I started messing around with my computer programs. I found PhotoImpact, messed with a few pics, and I haven't stopped since.
The main(and my most favorite) program I use is PhotoImpact 8. I think the reason it's my favorite is because I've been using it for so long. I know how to get to what I need and I know how to get what I need done. It's really great for beginners, whether you want to super impose or just repair your pictures.
Another program I use is Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0. If you want to touch up portraits, add cool effects, or make impossible possible, then this is the program for you! Now, I'm the sort of person who would rather mess around with something to find out how it works(in other words, I throw away the instructions and spend countless hours figuring out how to do something really simple), but for this program I got a book for my birthday that really helped me to better understand Adobe. I'm really glad I got it, because at first glance, Adobe 5.0 doesn't look like it does too much. If you are planning on getting Photoshop Elements, I highly suggest that you also order "The Photoshop Elements 5 Book for Digital Photographers" by Scott Kelby. It's super informative and very easy to understand.
Another program that I'm starting to use is Corel Painter Essentials 3. It came with my Bamboo pen(more about that in another blog), and it's really fun. It's mainly used for turning your favorite pictures into works of art. You can make your pictures look as though they've been painted, drawn, colored with pencils or crayons, and much more.
And there you have it. That's all the programs I use for what I do. Nothing super fancy, just programs that are fun and easy to use. Feel free to comment!
